Let's Go Hammerheads-2026

Welcome to the home of the Mt. Carmel Hammerheads Swim Team! 

The team practices and competes during the summer and we will begin our 18th season of Hammerhead swimming in 2026!  MCST is made up of wonderful families in the Mt. Carmel by the River neighborhood and the surrounding communities.  MCST offers a convenient opportunity to experience the fun, fitness, and excitement of competitive age-group swimming close to home!  Males and females ages 5-17 years old who can swim one length of the pool without assistance are eligible to join the team. This is a volunteer intense sport, so parental volunteering is required at two meets.

MCST is part of the Rocket City Swim League (RCSL) located in Huntsville, Alabama. Each swim season begins with practice beginning in mid-May and consists of 4 regular season meets (on Wednesday nights in June/July) and a league-wide City Meet concluding the season July 14. 

Registration for the 2026 season has begun for returning families. The private link emailed to 2025 families is the only way to register at this time. The website registration portal will open in mid April for new families to sign up.

Please Note:

• T-Shirts: This will be the only opportunity to order them.
• Caps: New color and design for this year, with a limited supply. You can use prior year caps.
• Schedule: Website Calendar is current for the season. Season schedule document is on the website in the "Information for Parents" tab.
• Coaches: We welcome back coach Whitney Morris-Reed as head coach. Coach B (Amelia) will be having her first child next month and will remain a part of our swim family. We are adding two assistant coaches to work alongside Coach Whitney and our Jr. Coaches.

Remember to sign up for meets and volunteers positions as soon as possible. Families are required to volunteer for 3 meets and City Meet, if your child swims. Families who do not meet these minimum expectations will have their enrollment for the next season denied.
