Good evening Hammerhead Families,

The Monte Sano swim meet has been postponed until next Wednesday, July 8. The primary reason for this is precautionary - due to expected bad weather, the host team does not want to risk a scenario in which social distancing cannot be practiced because of the need to take shelter at a moment's notice.

In place of this meet, we are offering an intra-squad meet tomorrow night, July 1, at 6PM at the Mt. Carmel Pool. Any swimmer that wants to participate will be given the opportunity to swim the breaststroke and the backstroke. There is no need to sign up for this - just be at the pool by 5:45PM and setup in the grassy area as usual. We will call swimmers by age group & gender, to the pool deck for their races. Due to the possibility of bad weather, we will make an early decision at 5PM as to whether or not we will have the meet - an alert/e-mail will be sent out at that time indicating whether we will proceed or not.

Thank you for your continued patience as we navigate this truly unusual season. Please continue to encourage your swimmers to practice social distancing while they are at the pool - I believe they have done a fantastic job of this and they just need to keep doing what they've been doing.
